How Adversity Shaped Our Business (and Our Purpose)

CabinExclusive wasn’t built overnight - it was built through resilience. When my wife was diagnosed with Hodgkin’s lymphoma in 2017, we turned to our small business not just as a source of income, but as a way to stay strong together. What started as a side project became our anchor.

We poured our energy into our work - creating, building, and pushing through. Then in 2020, COVID hit, and once again, we doubled down. Orders poured in from customers across the country who were stuck at home and wanted to make their spaces feel warm and meaningful.

That period taught us something powerful: adversity doesn’t have to break you - it can refine you. Every obstacle made us more determined to create products worthy of the people who buy them. We realized that quality, integrity, and hard work still matter in a world that often forgets those values.

Today, CabinExclusive is more than a small business - it’s a story of faith, grit, and gratitude. Our 4.8-star Etsy shop stands as proof that hard work pays off, and that customers still value authenticity over shortcuts.

When life gets tough, we build. When it gets harder, we build more. That’s who we are.
